3rd Special Forces Group Headquarters

The 3 rd Special Forces Group Headquarters (3SFG HQ) is a two story 54,995 SF facility. Designed to house components of four Battalions, additionally the building includes a large weapons storage vault, IPRN (non-secure and secure Internet Protocol Router Network) communications rooms, and a group operations center.

The architectural theme reflects Fort Bragg’s Installation Design Guide (IDG) as well as the surrounding buildings. Exterior materials continue into the entry vestibule, blurring the distinction between exterior and interior.

The structural steel frame building incorporates “green strategies” using sustainable techniques and materials for LEED Silver Certification.
